A vision that grew into global impact

Our Story

HomeBiogas was co-founded in Israel in 2012 by Oshik Efrati, Erez Lanzer, and Yair Teller around one conviction: that the organic waste smallholder livestock farmers deal with every day could become their most valuable resource.

The target was never industry. It was the cow farmer in rural Kenya. The pig farmer in Cambodia. People with the most to gain, and who the energy industry had never designed for.

Significant investment went into R&D to find the right product-market fit — systems that could survive real farm conditions, be transported by motorbike, installed in three hours, and run for over 15 years. A distributor network& partners was built across multiple countries, putting local partners at the Centre of deployment and helping HomeBiogas reach tens of thousands of active systems in the field today.

By 2021, HomeBiogas listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, validating both the technology and the model behind it.
